Born in Tehran, Iran, in 1987, Mohammad Ali Khosravi, known professionally as MAKHism (They/Them), began their artistic journey by studying computer graphics in high school and earning an associate degree in graphic design in 2006. Their passion for the visual arts soon expanded to photography, leading them to pursue a bachelor’s degree in photography at the University of Fine Arts, Tehran, in 2010. Specializing in self-portraiture, MAKHism has used this powerful medium to document and express their personal life experiences.

Since launching their professional career as a photographer in 2010, they have explored a wide range of photographic genres, including special events, weddings, fashion, and commercial photography. Their artistic endeavors extend beyond photography, with participation in exhibitions featuring work in painting, drawing, and sculpture.
